Invitation to panel discussion Women Creating a Secure World

Forum 2000 Foundation, ProEquality Centre of the Open Society, p.b.c., UN Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and UN Information Centre Prague are pleased to invite you to the panel discussion "Women Creating a Secure World." The discussion is an associated event of the Forum 2000 Conference “The World We Want to Live in.“

The event will take place on Monday October 11, 2010 from 18.00 - 19.30 at the Academy of Sciences in Prague (Národní 3, Prague 1). English is the working language of the discussion.

The subject of women, peace and security with reference to the 10th anniversary of UNSCR 1325 will be debated by Shirin Ebadi (Lawyer, Human Rights Activist, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Iran), Beatrice Mtetwa (Lawyer, Human Rights Advocate, Zimbabwe), Janina Hřebíčková (Head, Czech Embassy in Pristina, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Czech Republic), Michal Broža (UN Information Centre Prague, Czech Republic) and Pavel Gruber (Caritas CR/FoRS, Czech Republic).
